Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Haul It Off Junk Removal. By accessing our website, requesting a quote, scheduling a pickup, or using any of our junk removal and hauling services, you agree to follow and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before booking, as they explain how our services work, your responsibilities, and important policies related to pricing, scheduling, safety, and liability.

1) Services and Scope of Work

Haul It Off provides junk removal and related hauling services, which may include junk removal, clean outs, light demolition and debris removal, furniture removal, appliance removal, and donation pickups. The specific scope of work for your job is the items and areas you identify and we agree to remove.

We provide labor and hauling (lifting, loading, and transport). Unless we expressly agree in writing, our services do not include repairs, restoration, hazardous material abatement, or specialty trade services (for example, electrical, plumbing, gas-line disconnection, or structural demolition).

2) Quotes, Pricing, and What Can Change

Pricing is typically volume-based and may also depend on weight, material type, accessibility, labor time, and disposal requirements. Any quote provided before arrival is an estimate based on the information you provide. Your final price may change after an on-site assessment if conditions differ from what was described (for example: more volume, heavier materials, additional labor, restricted access, stairs, or prohibited/regulated items).

If we offer promotions (including online booking discounts), they may have limitations and may be modified or ended at any time. If you have a firm quote or flat rate in writing for a defined scope, it applies only to that scope.

3) Scheduling, Arrival Windows, and Delays

Appointments are scheduled based on availability. We may provide an estimated arrival window rather than an exact arrival time. You agree that traffic, prior jobs, weather, and other factors may affect timing.

If severe weather or unsafe site conditions prevent safe work, we may reschedule. We are not responsible for delays outside our reasonable control.

4) Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as early as possible. For last-minute changes, we may charge a cancellation or rescheduling fee to cover reserved crew time and travel. If our crew arrives and cannot perform the job due to site conditions, access issues, or undisclosed prohibited items, a trip or minimum service fee may apply.

5) Payment Terms

Payment is due at completion of service unless we agree otherwise in writing (for example, approved commercial accounts). We may accept multiple payment methods as offered at the time of service.

If payment is not made when due, you agree we may charge reasonable late fees, collection costs, and any bank/processing fees. We may also refuse future service until your balance is paid.

6) Customer Responsibilities (Important)

To keep your job smooth and safe, you agree to:

  1. Provide accurate information about what we are removing (type, estimated volume, and any special items).
  2. Ensure safe access to the pickup area (clear pathways, working lights, safe stairs/rails, and a safe loading area).
  3. Keep children and pets away from work areas during loading and demolition.
  4. Disconnect appliances in advance (including water and gas lines). Our team is not responsible for disconnecting utilities.
  5. Identify items you do not want removed. We are not responsible for items accidentally removed if they were mixed with junk or located in the removal area.
  6. Secure valuables and fragile items before we arrive.

If we determine that conditions are unsafe (biohazards, aggressive animals, structural instability, needles/sharps, etc.), we may refuse or stop service.

7) Items We Cannot Accept (Prohibited / Regulated Materials)

For safety and legal compliance, we may refuse items that are prohibited or require specialized handling. Examples may include (but are not limited to):

  • Chemicals, solvents, pesticides, and other hazardous waste
  • Paint, fuels, oils, propane/pressurized cylinders, and flammables
  • Explosives, ammunition, and firearms
  • Medical waste, sharps, or biohazard materials
  • Asbestos-containing materials and other regulated building materials
  • Items containing refrigerants (unless properly prepared/handled per local requirements)

This list is not exhaustive and may vary by disposal facility rules and local/state/federal law. You agree to disclose any suspected hazardous or regulated materials before service. If prohibited items are discovered on site, we may stop work, exclude those items, and/or charge additional fees for time spent assessing and handling the situation.

8) Donation, Recycling, and Disposal

We aim to donate or recycle items when feasible, but we cannot guarantee that any particular item will be donated, recycled, or kept out of landfill. Decisions depend on item condition, local donation center acceptance rules, and available recycling/disposal options.

Once items are loaded onto our truck, they are considered removed and you relinquish ownership unless we agree otherwise in writing.

9) Property Damage and Liability

We take care to avoid damage, but junk removal and hauling involve risks. To the extent permitted by law:

  • We are not responsible for pre-existing property damage, weak/aged surfaces, or hidden conditions (for example, brittle tiles, old flooring, cracked driveways, low ceilings, concealed wiring, or unstable structures).
  • If our crew causes damage due to negligence, you must notify us as soon as possible (preferably before the crew leaves) and provide reasonable documentation (photos, description, and access to inspect).
  • We are not responsible for damage resulting from customer instructions that increase risk (for example, requesting removal through a narrow passage after being advised of risk).

10) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Haul It Off will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of profits or loss of use). Our total liability for any claim related to your service will not exceed the amount you paid us for that specific job.

11) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Haul It Off and our owners, employees, and contractors from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of:
(a) your breach of these Terms, (b) undisclosed hazardous/regulatory materials, (c) unsafe site conditions under your control, or (d) your instructions that create elevated risk.

12) Right to Refuse or Terminate Service

We may refuse, pause, or terminate service if:

  • the site is unsafe or unlawful to service,
  • prohibited/regulated items are present and undisclosed,
  • there is harassment, abuse, or threats toward our crew,
  • payment is refused or appears fraudulent, or
  • you otherwise breach these Terms.

If service is terminated after arrival, you may still owe trip, labor, or minimum charges.

13) Website Use

You agree not to misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with normal operation, or submit false information. Website content is provided “as is” and may change without notice.

14) Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Any dispute related to these Terms or our services will be brought in the appropriate courts located in Pima County, Arizona, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

15) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date will reflect changes. Continued use of our website or services after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
